Katerra

As the in-house Senior Creative Lead for Katerra, I grew, pushed, expanded, and further developed the Katerra brand into a global, omni-channel brand. Mediums included but weren’t limited to: UI/UX design system, brand management, environmental and trade show design, responsive corporate website redesign with custom CMS, product showroom layout and design, packing design, print and OOH design.

In the past 5 years, Katerra experiences a growth spurt from 30 employee’s to over 8,000 with offices and factories in several countries. With exponential growth in such a short period of time they needed to create a single source fo truth for all UX/UI components for cohesive alignment across all digital products

 

 

Brand Management

Katerra started off with a simple brand guideline and a beautifully defined brand mark. However, the mark was just the start. The brand as a whole needed to mature and expand into a full global identity with hundreds of impressions and flexibly for growth through multiple mergers and acquisitions.

 

 

Environmental Design

To break into the construction world as a tech forward company, Katerra needed to have a strong presence in the trade show world that clearly started the companies comprehensive message.

 

 

Product Materials

To help communicate Katerra’s robust and multi-faceted offering, a wide variety of print marketing materials needed to be created and updated on a daily bases to assist the sales team. The Building Platforms document was the largest and most comprehensive brochure created.

 

 

Packaging

Katerra at one point had 2 additional public facing brands - KODO lighting and KOVA finishes and fixtures. Custom packaging was needed for all items. KOVA was direct to developers and KODO was direct to consumer and sold in Home Depot stores.
